Celebrate 73 years of Pioneer Village during Kearney County Days

June 6 - 7

Celebrating 73 Years of Progress

Harold Warp Pioneer Village is turning 73! Since opening our doors in 1953, we’ve been dedicated to preserving the tools of progress and the rich history of the American West. This year, we’re tying our anniversary milestone directly into Kearney County Days (June 6–7) to bring you a weekend packed with community spirit and interactive heritage events.

Whether you are a lifelong local or traveling down U.S. Highway 6, come walk through history with us from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

What’s on Offer This Weekend

Historic Yard Games

Bring the family for classic, old-school fun including Corn Hole, Tic-tac-toe, and Graces. We’ll also have sidewalk chalk ready for kids to get creative!

Artisans in Action

Watch history come alive with live heritage demonstrations. Visit the Blacksmith shop, the Broommaker, the Loom, and see how traditional rope is made.

1879 Carousel Rides

Take a spin on a true piece of history! After being closed for 20 years, our historic carousel is back in operation. Rides run from 10–12 & 1–3.

Valentine Diner Treats

Fuel up and cool off at our authentic diner! Open for lunch serving Walking Tacos, Ice Cream, Soda, and Root Beer Floats (while supplies last).

Turn Your Trip Into a Summer Getaway

There is too much to see in just one afternoon! Pioneer Village features a massive 20-acre complex spread across 28 buildings housing over 50,000 items of pure Americana. To help you take it all in at your own pace, our on-site RV park and campground is located directly adjacent to the museum grounds.

Book your campsite, unpack the camper, and spend the entire weekend exploring the “Smithsonian of the Plains.”

Summer Hours Are Here!

Starting Memorial Day, we are transitioning to our peak season schedule. We are now open from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM every single day!
